Mrs. Ray is new to Alvarado High School this year, sort of...She taught at Alvarado Junior High for the last 12 years. During those years, she came to the High School and assisted during Honor Chorale's class time. She is very excited to be officially on the High School faculty this year as Assistant Choir Director. Mrs. Ray has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Howard Payne University and is in her 18th year as a public school music educator, having served at school districts in Alvarado, Mansfield, Brownwood, and Ruidoso, N.M. She has led music at churches in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma since 1986, and she has been very happily married to her pastor for over 30 years. Mr. and Mrs. Ray have an 80-pound dog, Beau, and two cats, Butch and Sundance, all of whom enjoy cuddling with humans and wrestling with each other.
