About Me

Welcome to the new school year. Let's make some music!

I am a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a concentration on clarinet. While at UNT, I was a member of TMEA and Mu Phi Epsilon.

This is my third year in the profession and in Alvarado ISD. I teach 5th grade music, 6th grade clarinets, 7th grade beginning woodwinds, Junior High Symphonic Band, and assist at the high school during both concert and marching season. Before teaching in Alvarado, I taught private lessons in the DFW area.

Long breaks and Practicing

Winter is upon us and that means that we are in for a long break from school. While we are traveling around and spending time with our families, it is important that we let our instruments travel with us.  We have worked very hard to get to this point and taking a break from our instrument would be a very detrimental set back at this point in the development of a young musician. So make sure that you set apart a time, every day that you eat, to spend with your instrument so we can come back in January and hit the ground running close to where we left off.  Have a great break and see you in 2016.
