Welcome to Biology, the study of life!
Students in Biology will use a variety of skills including: proper lab techniques, individual practice, group problem solving, critical and creative thinking, research, note taking, and additional study skills. We have a responsibility to each other in the classroom. I will live up to your expectations - teach in a respectful manner- and you will live up to mine - come to class, work hard, follow the rules, and keep a positive attitude. Also, have fun in the process!!!!!! If you are willing to work you WILL succeed in this class and pass the EOC test!!!!
Education and Experience: I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1997 with a degree in Biology. I have 19 years of experience in the field of education and I have taught Biology for 17 years. Before coming to Alvarado, I worked for Mansfield, Crowley, and Everman. I am now PROUD to call Alvarado home.
Biography:  I have been married for 12 years to my husband, Jeremy, who is an Alvarado alumnus. Our daughter, Kylie, attends Alvarado Elementary North. We also have a labrador retriever named Jackson, and a jack russell mix named Bandit, who guard the house while we are at school and work. I enjoy spending my time away from school with my family and friends. I look forward to an exciting and successful year.
