I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. I will graduate May 2018 with a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. My teaching certifications include 4-8 Generalist, EC-12 Special Education, and 8-12 Social Studies.
I am going into my 5th year of teaching and my 1st year teaching World Geography. I have spent my teaching career at Alvarado Intermediate School teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. While at the intermediate, I had the opportunity to coach for 3 years at the high school. This year I will be coaching basketball and track. I am excited for a new adventure of inspiring and empowering high school students!
I was born and raised right here in Alvarado so I bleed purple and live gold! I graduated from Alvarado High School in 2008. I have an adorable 2 year old nephew who I love to spoil and another nephew on the way. I am a huge Dallas Mavericks and Fighting Texas Aggies fan! In the summer of 2017, I had the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to Belize where I worked in different schools in the villages. That experience forever changed who I am as a person and an educator. I currently live in Fort Worth and absolutely love living in the city of cowboys and culture. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sand volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and volunteering with my young adult ministry group in Fort Worth.
