Alvarado High School’s JV colorguard dominated most of the competition at the North Texas Colorguard Association’s Regional A Championships last weekend at Flower Mound Marcus High School.
Only two schools were within two points of the team’s 89.36 winning score and only one of those was within a point.
In it’s round of competition the team placed first or second in every category and were the only team in the competition to earn that feat.
“Our JV team worked hard and improved immensely throughout the season,” coach Estelle Murr said. “They were a coachable group whose work ethic and practice outside of rehearsal paid dividends. I couldn’t be more proud of them and their captain Leighton Meyer.”
The second and third place finishers were Frenship Spirit West – Blue (89.14) and Rockwall Heath (87.93).
